ABOUT SEAN SPITERI –
Sean Spiteri was born in 1988, 11 years after Elvis Presley had passed away on August 16th 1977. His aura was indescribable; his voice and the way he moved, just unique and to this day there is no entertainer remotely like him. Now, Sean Spiteri tells Melissa Hand how Elvis rocked his world from the time he was just three years old.
The 68’ Elvis Comeback Special is how Sean came to learn about the King. He was just three years old when his parents introduced him to Elvis Presley. It was in this particular show that Elvis, in his black leather outfit re-claimed his reputation and status as one of the most amazing entertainers in history. I was mesmerized from that day,” says Sean. It was when he turned nine that his career as a tribute artist started to take form. “My first gig was at the Copacabana International in Fitzroy, then after that it was, Fetes and Charity Functions - that’s how it all started. Professionally at nine, but the passion was at three years old”
The fact he never knew Elvis, never saw him perform or knew of him when he was still alive meant a lot of work to find out who Elvis was especially as a performer. “My parents are huge Elvis fans. They would always put on records, movies, and concert footage. I was just brought up with the music. When I reached a mature age, I just researched and researched, I wanted to know more about who he was.”
Sean Spiteri was born a performer, always taking on opportunities at school and jumping at the chance to do what he does best – entertain. He studied Drama and Performing Arts at School. He already is a well-acclaimed actor appearing in an Australian movie called ‘Five Moments of Infidelity’ – it was released in August 2008.
Sean, a trained actor has an incredible versatile talent to capture the true essence and persona of Elvis Presley in his shows. In 2005 Sean had won all the Elvis Competitions in Parkes NSW – and earned the title of "MOST ELVIS SOUND ALIKE" "MOST ELVIS MOVE ALIKE" & "MOST ELVIS LOOK ALIKE". Rating him one of the best Elvis Tribute Artists and Elvis Tribute shows in Australia.
Sean’s tribute show “ELVIS ROCKS IN SEAN” has been at Melbourne’s most popular venues such as the Crown Casino, The Crown Palladium, The Hilton Hotel, Kingston City Hall, The Alexander Theatre also taking his show interstate at Burwood R.S.L in Sydney and at Twin Towns Auditorium in QLD. He has also appeared on Channel 9 Star Struck, and has appeared on overseas Television and radio broadcasted in Malta.
Sean’s main goal and dream is to be the world’s best acclaimed Elvis Tribute Artist and Elvis Tribute Show paying respect to the person he admires and looks up to the most. “He really was a man from another planet. He was just electrifying on stage, His voice and His Charisma there is just no one like him and never will be, I hope I can continue and perform my Elvis Tribute shows worldwide and respect my idol for as long as I can. “He Lit the torch” – I am just carrying it.
Sean is currently pursuing his acting/singing career and is continuing his on-going demand for his popular Elvis Tribute Shows for public, private and corporate entertainment. This is the “Elvis Rocks In Sean” story.
