The 1950's - EARLY YEARS
It was the era of a new kind of teenagers ‘hero’ a rebel, the hillbilly cat from Memphis Tennessee. Who was Elvis? What was he? Sean Spiteri represents the 50’s, taking you down those early days of the Louisiana Hayride, The Dorsey Brothers Show, The Ed Sullivan Shows, where Elvis establishes his fame. Sean Spiteri performs those No.1 hits the early songs, I Need Your Love Tonight, Don’t Be Cruel, Baby Let’s Play House, Teddy Bear – he was ‘Elvis the Pelvis’ criticised for those ‘lewd’ accusing stage moves the media was representing Elvis as a bad influence on America’s youth. Sean Spiteri as Elvis in The 1950’s makes the audience realise this is when the American Dream was born.
The 1960's - MOVIE YEARS
Viva Las Vegas, GI Blues, Girl Happy – sound familiar? The era of Elvis Presley on the big screen – he was on every Television and was the biggest singer, biggest actor biggest star in the world – this was the movie era. Sean Spiteri pays tribute to the movies, with songs such as Little Egypt, Return To Sender, Rock A Hula – the era is fun, colorful, exciting and is "GIRLS, GIRLS, GIRLS".
The 1968 COMEBACK
Elvis’s movie contracts are over after 10 years and Elvis is fed up with the movies – he wants something big, something fresh, and something new. He wants to perform to a live audience again – he wants the excitement and the challenge. Sean Spiteri with great detail plays Elvis Presley in 1968 with the black leather outfit, singing those raw songs such as One Night, Are You Lonesome Tonight, Lawdy Miss Clawdy and of course the song that best represents this era ‘If I Can Dream’.
1970 - THE WAY IT IS
With the 1968 Comeback Special being a smash hit – Elvis is full of energy and appears for several shows in Las Vegas at The International. He is on top of the world and his stage personality really comes through the camera for the first time. Sean Spiteri being a actor, has a beautiful re-enactment for this era, with all the main songs of this special including, Just Pretend, Polk Salad Annie, In Ghetto, Wonder Of You, You’ve Lost That Loving Feeling – Sean really shows the audience with prestige and detail this magical era of the early 1970’s.
ELVIS ON TOUR - ALOHA FROM HAWAII
Once he made his comeback, there was no going back for Elvis. The Seventies opened with him in the center of the action again – Elvis On Tour is the era of when Elvis is on the road, appearing at Madison Square Garden – Sean Spiteri represents ‘Elvis On Tour’ in a gold studded jeweled sequenced Jumpsuit belting out songs such as Proud Mary, Johnny B. Goode, Never Been To Spain and a song that defines the 1970’s period “An American Trilogy”. Aloha from Hawaii was beamed live via Globecam Satellite to various countries – this concert was seen in over forty countries by 1.5 billion people “Elvis Has Made History”. Sean Spiteri takes us to Aloha From Hawaii giving the audience an illusion that best represents Elvis Presley at the pinnacle of his superstardom. With songs such as My Way, Welcome To My World, Suspicious Minds, It’s Over, You Gave Me A Mountain – Sean Spiteri sings these songs with passion and soul and by the end the audience are dazzled and spellbound, with a standing ovation making the audience realise Elvis Presley has become an American Icon Forever and eternity.
